Meet Ben & Theresa Alley
Dancing Through Life: Building Community, Creativity, and Connection.
Trained in International Ballroom and Latin, as well as American Smooth and Rhythm, and seasoned competitors in USA DanceSport competitions, Ben and Theresa are excited to contribute their passion and dedication to the vibrant Unity Dance Community.

Ben and Theresa's story began in 2015 when they met at the same ballroom dance studio. What started as a shared passion for partner dancing quickly grew into a love for each other. Soon after they began dating, they stepped into the competitive ballroom world of USA Dance, and by 2020, they were partners both on and off the dance floor as husband and wife.
Together, Ben and Theresa have built a life centered around dance, creativity, and connection in their hometown of Smyrna, TN. Beyond their love for dance, they are passionate about building communities and inspiring others to embrace art, learning, and self-expression.
With backgrounds that include designing corporate training programs, supporting budding art and craft businesses, and curating a lifetime's worth of hobbies, Ben and Theresa bring a wealth of experience to everything they do.
They are excited to share their love of dance with you as you start your own dance journey and look forward to meeting you at the next party or ballroom class at their art studio, Trellis & Vine in Smyrna, TN.
OUR DANCE CLASSES

First Steps Here
Unity Dance Community lessons are group classes organized into 6-class series. Each series is designed to help you advanced your dance skills, by building on the previous class. Each class is 50 minutes in length. New students may join at the start of a series (no drop-ins mid series). Enrollment in a 6-class series includes a Saturday evening practice party, a fun social event open to the public. Beginner classes cover popular ballroom dances such as Waltz, Foxtrot, Swing, and Rumba. Intermediate level classes add additional dances styles such as Tango, and Cha Cha.
